Inter Library
Loans --
We
participate in an Interlibrary Loan
service in order to obtain materials not
available in our collection. This
service depends on the generosity of
public and academic libraries across the
state. For security reasons
interlibrary loan materials must be signed
out from the front desk. In order to
receive this privilege the borrower agrees
to: 1. Accept
responsibility for materials between
signing out and signing in. This includes
cost of damage to or loss of borrowed
item. 2.
Return the materials by the date due
marked on the interlibrary loan slip. Not
returning materials to the lending library
on time may jeopardize our ability to
continue receiving interlibrary loan
services from that library. Please make
every effort to return this material by
the due date. Please note: Borrowers
are required to have a valid library card
with the MLN system in order to check out
Interlibrary Loan materials.
Computer/Internet
Access --
We offer public access computers
free of charge. We currently have a
time limit of 1 hour per patron, however
we do not ask patrons to relinquish their
computers unless we have other patrons
waiting to use them. Patrons must
have a good library record in order to use
the computers (no fines above $5 and no
long time overdues). We also offer
wireless internet access. To use
this free service, patrons must provide
their own wireless capable laptop computer
and ask to use the service at our
circulation desk. Staff will then
provide a wireless access login and
password for the requested amount of
time. Patrons will then have 24
hours in which to use that allotted amount
of time. If more time is needed,
another session can be requested, free of
charge. Children under 17 must have
a parent or guardian sign a
permission slip to use the computers.
Videos /DVDs --
We
offer both popular release movies as well
as children's movies. Primarily our
collection is available on VHS tape,
though our DVD collection is growing.
Paperback Book Exchange --
You can
bring in a paperback book and take one
from our exchange section.
Please note: If there is a colored dot
and a library spine label on the spine
of the book you are taking, that is
not an exchange book, but is part of
our collection and must be checked
out.
Book Sale --
We
offer a continuing book sale table
at the library.
Books
on-Tape

We offer
a wide selection of books on tape,

Meeting
Room
--
The
library provides a meeting room for
groups and individuals who have no place
else to meet. Donations will be
appreciated for use of the meeting
room.
The library does not have the
economic resources to provide space free
of charge for businesses and
organizations who want to use the room
as a substitute office.
